Preap Sovath, Khmer famous singer

Preap Sovath is a famous singer in Cambodia. If you ask many Cambodian music fans about their favorite singer you will realize that Preap Sovath is very popular that many people lisening to his song every day. As the famous singer in Cambodia, he sing for Reaksmey Hangmeas production. Beside his singing career, Preap Sovath runs many successful businesses with his wife such as restaurant, salon and beauty shop.

Preap Sovath was born in Kandal province on 27 Febuary 1972. He began his career as a singer in 1994 which the production he sang for in that time is Reaksmey Hangmeas and until now still the same production.
To these days, Preap Sovath has record more than 1000 and close to 2000 songs which mix all the genres because he can sing to satisfies all Cambodians. As I remember, he was suddently known by many people with his first song “ On Chea Besdong Bong” and then another song “ Kser Chivit “ is also another song that can help him to success at the first time.
Besides singing, Preap Sovath is also a good actor, in 2005 he had a good chance to star in a famous movie called “Ne Sat Kro Per”. This movie is also produced by Reaksmey Hangmeas production with well written by Mao Ayuth.
Until nowadays Prep Sovath is still a famous singer in Cambodia and follow by many new singer. As the music industry in Cambodia is so competitive, Preap Sovath always find new style in order to attract the audiences.
